Loudenslager Steps Down as NACD Chief Executive Officer

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 5, 2009—Today the National Association of Conservation Districts announced that Doug Loudenslager has stepped down as the Association’s Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately.

NACD President Steve Robinson expressed his appreciation for Loudenslager’s commitment to conservation and service to NACD. "On behalf of NACD leadership, I want to thank Doug Loudenslager for working with NACD. He provided leadership and direction to the Association and we appreciate his efforts," said Robinson. "Doug has decided that it is not in his future to remain with us as CEO. We wish him well on his future endeavors."

Loudenslager said he valued the opportunity to serve as CEO of the National Association of Conservation Districts. "After significant involvement with the National Board and NACD’s many activities, it became clear that my role was significantly different than I anticipated," he said. "I have appreciated the chance to serve NACD and its members but it is in the best interest of my family, myself and NACD for me to seek other opportunities at this time. I wish NACD and conservation districts well in moving the organization forward."
