By R. Neil Sampson

With One Voice tells the story of America's national soil and water conservation efforts through the eyes of the National Association of Conservation Districts, providing a reference for people who seek to refine and implement these programs. The chronicle of the NACD’s first quarter century was contained in an earlier book—For Love of the Land—and this book looks at the recent quarter century.

For Love of the Land Book CoverFor Love of the Land: A History of the National Association of Conservation Districts
By R. Neil Sampson

For Love of the Land begins with the Dust Bowl and the earliest efforts to launch a national soil and water conservation program. In 1937, conservation districts were born and quickly began to be established throughout the country. In 1946, regional districts banded together as the National Association of Conservation Districts to achieve together what no one district could do on its own.
